This administration’s completely unprincipled actions (I don’t mean this as a pejorative but as descriptivd…they have no political, economic or other principles, such as small government libertarianism or big government democratic socialism, etc by which they act) is leading to several issues. The transactional nature of their actions means certain classes of problems that would be resolved by merely sticking to a particular political philosophy are all wide open and they have to tackle random and unique issues across the space they’re operating in.

It ends up in a big game of whack-a-mole and the heuristic that picks which problem would actually be tackled is “it causes enough public outcry in the short term”. That’s not ideal. They are creating and letting fester so many problems whose impacts will only manifest several years from now.
