Article was not clear "why?" but those three hacking groups have had members arrested and convicted since many of their members appear to be in reach of US Law Enforcement.

My guess is these two employees were heavily involved in their arrests and/or convictions.

What an extraordinary compliment. I’d be chuffed to bits if I were one of these two employees.

Sounds like these two engineers really pissed these black hat hackers off! If that doesn't boost their resumes then I don't know what will!

No link or at least a screen shot of the Telegram post. No real anything here to the point they embedded a video of GMaps showing the use of Gulf of America. I'd say what a waste of ink, but only some slightly inconvenience electrons to see here.

Gotta be first to post is that important I guess???

Why are they demanding these two be fired? What are these two accused of? The article seemed to skim over this.

They're the researchers investigating their hacking group.

              This is a dumb demand.

Thieves demanding the police department fire two good detectives, it seems.

Classic mainstream news. I'm not even surprised.

At least one of them is a threat analyst.

it's like Putin demanding that Zelensky be removed from office.

Doesn’t really explain why they want to random employees to be fired?

If I were going to blackmail google, it would be for something much more valuable than that.
