As a backend dev who has to do frontend against his will, I always check out if there is something that makes it less annoying to do, but web component articles, including this one, fail to explain why or even what web components are about and how they would benefit anyone. Maybe, as the article says, the term is confusing and web components don't mean anything to/for me.
