You can buld the same if not better for a fraction of the cost. Get a seed board. They are around $5 or cheaper. If you have a 3d printer. You can find free skeleton of the body frame for hot wheels. For remote you can control it using your phone. Lots of free apps or you can make a simple controller. $60 bucks for this setup seems a bit too much considering there is no RND involved lol. If you look at their YT guide, you have to do so much tidious work. There are tiny motors and micro size servos. Just a matter of how patient you are. I am working on one myself, I just don’t have a 3d printer.

Looks amazing relative to the ~$80 "mario kart racer" cars they sell to kids... and are just as cheap and disappointing as you can imagine

The only one in that price range is the Mario Kart Live, where a good chunk of that $80 has to be the FPV system.

RC stuff is so cool. If I was still a kid in the burbs I'd be flying drones in circles outside my house.

I dream of a RC-like car, where I can just pop my smartphone into the car with camera looking forward, and write an Android app that would drive the phone over USB-C or BT.
